About Miniature Schnauzers
The Miniature Schnauzer is classified by the American Kennel Club as a terrier which possesses the spunk of this particular type of dog. This breed is bright, curious, highly intelligent, fearless and eager to please.
Terriers were originally bred centuries ago for their fearlessness in going underground for prey actually tracking vermin to their underground burrows. Miniature Schnauzers have come to prove themselves as a very popular breed, and one that provides excellent companionship for all ages. They are wonderful around children, delighting them for hours on end with lever antics. They also excel as a guardian-a steadfast protector of his home and family members-those that he dearly loves.
Miniature Schnauzers are hypoallergenic dogs. This refers to the dog breed that is less likely to cause an allergic reaction for its human companions. It is one of the very few breeds that can claim it is a low dander breed.
